Crew of Scrooge! The Musical

Role

Background

Alicia Barrett

Music Director

Alicia has been the music director for Theatre in the Grove for the last 3 musicals. She’s excited to continue exploring the different types of musicals the theatre has been producing. After having just finished Assassins she has been enjoying the contrast between that and a more light hearted Christmas musical. In addition to her work at Theatre in the Grove she has also  worked with Bridgetown Conservatory of Musical Theatre as music director/pianist for In Pieces and music directing their summer camp. She also runs her own studio in Hillsboro where she teaches piano lessons and is the staff pianist at Bridgetown Conservatory of Musical Theatre in Portland.

Allie Yeend

Stage Manager

Allie has been involved in theater for just over 2 years. Previous credits include stage manager for Mamma Mia and co-stage manager for Big Fish both at TITG. She is excited to have an opportunity to work on a show with her father, Stan. She would like to thank her parents for all their support and dog watching. And her best friend Megan for always coming to see her shows, when she isn’t even on stage.

Holly Counts

Vocal Director

Scrooge! The Musical is Holly’s first production at Theatre in the Grove. For over a decade, she has worked as a vocal and artistic director for other theaters in the area, including Lovegood Performing Arts Company, Journey Theater Arts Group, and Century High School. Recent productions include Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Suessical, and youth camp and class productions of Lion King Kids, Annie Kids, Aladdin Kids, and Pirates Past Noon. When not working on a theater production, she is busy maintaining a private voice and piano studio in Hillsboro, volunteering with the Oregon Music Teachers Association, and spending time with her family.

Marsha Kelly

Choreographer

Marsha has an extensive background in music, theater, and dance including choreography, vocal coaching, music, directing, directing, acting, producing and many other aspects. Some of her favorites are A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, the Pirates of Penzance, Ruddigore, Anything Goes, Singing In The Rain, Cabaret, Honk Jr., Willy Wonka Jr., and now, Scrooge! to name a few. Marsha is an international vocal coach and dance judge. She is currently teaching music in Hillsboro, School, District, and directs three choirs and a band. She also sings a cappella barbershop in quartets and choruses and is a regional champion Bass. Marsha and her husband Dennis raised four boys who are very talented performers. She loves raising animals including her two dogs, Jack Jack, and Kizzy who love to point the way on her kayak. Marsha is thrilled to be choreographing her first show at theater in the grove with this talented cast and crew.
