Even though 2024 is not yet over, during this weekend of Thanksgiving, we wanted to share our gratitude to patrons who have supported us this year. Through gifts from our patrons, we have done remarkable things this year:
- We restarted our summer acting and technical theatre camp (CAST) after a long hiatus due to the pandemic and put on the highly popular show “The Little Mermaid” which was even nominated in the best youth production category in the Portland metro area.
- We issued $5,000 in scholarships to students with financial need for our 2024 Summer CAST Theatre Camp.
- Our 2024 house renovation project is almost finished. We’ve raised money for the past 2 years (including 2 Galas) to renovate the house. When you arrive next, you’ll find it freshly painted, new heavy duty curtains hanging on the walls to improve sound quality, and the seats are now easily identifiable with brass seat number plaques. What you won’t necessarily notice is the many electrical updates that we made over the summer to address both safety and functionality issues.
- We have purchased new actor mics to improve sound quality during our musicals
- Over 5,000 hours of time have been donated by our dedicated volunteers. Be it building maintenance, lobby help, set construction, set tear down, directing, acting, or serving on the board, our dedicated volunteers make it possible for us to bring you quality entertainment.
