Our 2024 house renovation project is almost finished.
For the past 2 years, we have raised nearly $35,000 to renovate our house. This has happened through the generosity of individual patrons, businesses, and grants. Our last two Gala in the Grove’s also raised a substantial amount of money towards this effort.
When you arrive next, you’ll find the house freshly painted, new heavy duty curtains hanging on the walls to improve sound quality, and the seats are now easily identifiable with brass seat number plaques.
But, what you won’t necessarily notice is the many electrical updates that we made over the summer to address both safety, security, and functionality issues.
But, our active board of directors is not finished as we have much more to do. Our building was built in 1912 and is considered a historic landmark. We want to ensure that the building is still fully functional well past our lifetimes and are planning comprehensive work to support this endeavor.
Our HVAC system is 20+ years old and needs to be replaced soon. We have identified an issue with our roof that needs immediate attention. And we want to update our upstairs dressing room.
