Dave Massey

Alto Saxophone and Clarinet

Dave has been performing in TITG’s pit orchestras for 30+ years, on all clarinets and all saxophones, depending on the show’s needs. A few of his favorite past shows include Chicago, Big Fish, Fiddler On The Roof, and Jesus Christ Superstar. I would like to thank my wife Chris (who is often seen on stage at TITG as well), and my family for their patience as I pursue my musical pursuits.

Eric Toner

Guitar, Banjo

Having over thirty-seven years with his hands at the acoustic, electric, and classical guitars, Eric plays a broad cross-section of musical genres. A Canadian recording artist, he toured North America for two years and recorded multiple albums. His passion is live performance but also has spent time singing, arranging, sound designing, mixing, and producing. These days he mostly plays musical theater in the greater Portland region. Favorite shows he has performed locally include Fun Home, West Side Story, Hair, Dreamgirls, Fiddler on the Roof, Next to Normal, Last Five Years, Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors, Folk City, Chess, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Shrek the Musical.

Heather Michaels

Pianist

This is my third musical project ,
In the past I was privileged to accompany for Compass Productions “Sonologues” and The Star Society The Last Five Years. This is my first show with Theater in the Grove and I HiGHLy look forward to it 😉

I work professionally as a piano teacher in the Beaverton area, it has been really fun broadening my experience in the arena of Community Theater. So many individuals give so much to put these shows on and I feel grateful to be a part of that.

Reefer Madness has everything I love about musicals all wrapped up in one. Cheeky humor, style, spirit and rocking music!

Shannon Nelson

Bass guitar

Shannon Nelson (bass) started his performing life as a 5 year old singing loudly for everyone at a church potluck when he really was supposed to be eating. From there he spent time in several choirs, while also dabbling with piano, violin, and kazoo. He found success with the bass guitar later in life and has been entertaining his family and friends with loud low frequency noises ever since. He has recently been seen in rock&roll groups and blues jams, a couple of swing orchestras and jazz quartets, and a few gigs with a Sinatra impersonator. Shannon supports his artistic habits as a software engineer for AMD, and thanks his ever patient wife for her love and support.
