Theatre in the Grove is set to blaze up the stage with Reefer Madness: The Musical! This outrageous, satirical romp is inspired by the 1936 propaganda film that tried to scare the youth straight—but instead became a cult classic!
The story follows clean-cut teenager Jimmy Harper, whose innocent curiosity about marijuana sends him spiraling into a world of debauchery, jazz, and wild hallucinations! Under the influence of the sinister Jack Stone, he and his sweetheart Mary Lane are thrown into a frenzy of crime, sex, and—gasp—dancing!
Warning: This smokin’ satire is strictly for mature audiences due to its blazing drug themes, suggestive content, and irreverent humor. So, grab your coolest cats, leave the kids at home, and prepare for a groovy night of theatrical mayhem!
About Our Theatre
Theatre in the Grove produces six to seven regular season plays and musicals a year. Celebrating over 50 years of community theatre, it is one of Oregon’s oldest community theatres.

Theatre Summer Camps
CAST Summer Performance Camp
Young actors (13-18 years old) have the opportunity to play a part or work backstage and experience the rehearsal and performance of a play or musical.
CAST Summer Technical Camp
Young actors (13-18 years old) can explore the production of a play including set construction, lighting, and sound.
CAST Kids Camp
Young actors (8-12 years old) will engage in interactive games designed to develop their acting skills while learning the fundamentals of theater.
